Our Approach
Individualized goals, plans, and support driven by data and personal needs.

Built on the foundations of Applied Behavior Analysis
A positive approach to behavior modification, ABA is an evidence-based practice that teaches functional skills and decreases challenging behaviors.
ABA is an outcomes-focused approach that creates individualized treatment plans unique to each person’s needs and goals. There is no one-size-fits-all treatment, and each personalized plan focuses on academics, language, play, social, and daily living skills in every step of the process.
There is often a misconception that ABA only takes place at a table with repetitive trials. There is also a misconception that ABA therapy teaches children to only do things for external motivators and often creates a robot-like child. This is just not true. Marissa Bennett Consulting individualizes treatment for all kids, finding a fun and interactive method to guide them down the path to success.
The Principles We Operate On
Building family into your success plan
At Marissa Bennett Consulting, we are strong believers in family involvement and doing ABA treatment in the home. Home is where life happens. By doing treatment in the home, it allows for more generalization of skills and family involvement. We strongly believe that parent and family involvement in their children’s treatment is imperative in helping each parent to feel empowered in their role.
Collaboration is the key to lifelong achievements
We are passionate, educated and well trained, but we do not know it all. Collaboration with other providers such as speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, social workers and school professionals allows for open lines of communication and support for your child.
Individualized treatment is essential in meeting your unique potential
Each client we work with has individual challenges, goals, and needs. We work with families to identify socially, developmentally and culturally important goals for each child. We then collect data at each session to track growth and development.
