Often, toilet training can be a difficult time in a child’s development. Children may not be able to tell you that they have to use the bathroom, or may not have the necessary language skills to indicate they are ready to use the toilet. Furthermore, most children with ASD or other developmental challenges take a while to understand the connection between the sensation of needing to use the bathroom versus actually doing so.
